ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Rachel Jones is an Australian speculative fiction author writing emotionally driven science fiction and horror. Her work explores grief, human morality, and survival through collapsing worlds and encounters with the unknown.

Born and raised in Western Australia, Rachel grew up surrounded by bushland and wide night skies. Her love of space, nature, and storytelling was deeply shaped by her older brother, who first encouraged her to look up at the stars and wonder about what lay beyond them - an influence that continues to guide her writing today.

She is the author of Under a Fractured Sky, and her standalone novella Dead Horizon is forthcoming, alongside several works currently in development.

Rachel writes while balancing full time work and motherhood, drawing inspiration from the people she loves and the emotional bonds that connect us all.
